The full 2019 Concacaf Gold Cup groups and schedule will be revealed Wednesday (6 pm ET | UDN, FOX Sports Go in U.S.) in an event hosted at Los Angeles Football Club's Banc of California Stadium.
The tournament's four seeded teams — including the United States national team — already know their group assignments and venues, but will soon learn their opponents. The same is also true for Jamaica, which will host two matches in the tournament for the first time.
As for the other 11 entrants — including the Canada national team — players and fans will finally get to make travel plans.
This is the first time the tournament has featured 16 teams in four groups, with the top two teams in each reaching the quarterfinal round of the knockout stage. In recent editions of the continental tournament, 12 teams competed in three groups of four, with the top two teams advancing automatically, as well as the two best third-place finishers.
The Gold Cup begins on June 15 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif. The final is set for July 7 at Soldier Field in Chicago, Ill.
