Columbus (2023): Defender Steven Moreira made 34 regular season appearances for the Crew next to dishing out five assists. Moreira led the team in minutes played and tied for starts, with 6,238 minutes and 33 games started respectfully. Moreira collected assists in back-to-back games against Atlanta United (March 25) and Real Salt Lake (April 1). In U.S. Open Cup action, Moreira tallied in the game-winning assist in the opening round matchup against the Indy Eleven (April 26). In the opening round of the Leagues Cup against Club America (July 31), Moreira tallied one goal and one assist in the Crew’s 4-1 victory, helping them advance to the second round of the tournament. The defender made his senior international debut for Cape Verde in a friendly against Algeria on Oct. 12, 2023. In the 2023 postseason, Moreira started in all six postseason matches for the Crew, recording one assist. At the end of the season, Moreira was awarded the Club’s Defender of the Year award for his defensive display throughout the year for the Crew.
Columbus (2022): Moreira started all 32 games played in for the 2022 season, recording one goal and dishing out eight assists. The defender started the season with eight-straight 90-minute performances, collecting back-to-back assists against San Jose (March 5) and Toronto (March 12). He collected assists at Toronto FC (June 29) and against Montreal (August 3). The native of Noisy-le-Grand, France notched his first MLS goal against FC Cincinnati (August 27), tallying the game tying goal in extra time. He collected an assist the following game against Inter Miami (August 31) and back-to-back assists again at Montreal (September 9) and at Inter Miami (September 13).
Columbus (2021): Steven Moreira made seven appearances for the Crew, making six starts in his first season with the club as well as collecting three assists. The defender made his Columbus Crew debut in the 2021 Campeones Cup championship match against Cruz Azul (September 25), starting the match and playing for 58 minutes. He made his MLS debut at Philadelphia Union (October 3), starting and playing for 66 minutes. Moreira collected his first assist of his career against the New York Red Bulls (October 23) and collected his second the next match against Orlando (October 27).
Toulouse FC (2018-21): Moreira appeared in 58 matches for the French club, including netting one goal as a defender. His goal came in a 3-1 victory over Les Violets. The defender spent time with Toulouse B where he appeared in three matches.
FC Lorient (2016-18): Appearing in 63 matches for the French Ligue 1 side, Moreira scored one goal in his two seasons. His goal came against RC Lens in the second round of the Coupe de la Ligue in 2017.
