Nelson Quiñónes extends stay with Houston Dynamo
Career Summary
Quiñones joined the Dynamo on loan after two seasons in his native Colombia with Once Caldas and was then signed on a full transfer on July 13, 2023. He played a pivotal role in Houston’s resurgence in 2023, helping the team win its second Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup title and advance to the Western Conference Final for the ninth time in Club history. Quiñones, unfortunately, missed the 2024 season after suffering a knee injury with the U-23 Colombian National Team at the 2024 CONMEBOL Pre-Olympic Tournament in Venezuela.
