Midweek MLS often means goals galore, and that was again the case Wednesday night for Matchday 27.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
2024 (Philadelphia): In the 2024 MLS season, Wagner appeared in 34 games (32 starts) logging 2,907 minutes. His games played and minutes were both the most by any Union defender this season. As a defender, Wagner scored one goal and led the team with 13 assists, the second time he has reached double digit assists for the club. On September 28, 2024 Wagner etched his name into Philadelphia Union history, becoming the club’s all-time assist leader in MLS play, registering his 51st career assist to surpass club legend Sébastien Le Toux.
2023 (Philadelphia): Wagner made 28 appearances (28 starts) for the Union in 2023, finishing with one goal and seven assists...Led the team in tackles with 39…Scored his first goal of the season against COL (5/13)... Registered his first assist of the season against SJ (6/10)...Registered a hat trick of assists against RBNY (9/3).

2018-19 (Philadelphia/Würzburger Kickers): Wagner joined the Union for an undisclosed transfer fee during Philadelphia's preseason. Prior to the move, he had totaled two assists in 13 games for Würzburger.
2017-18 (Würzburger Kickers): In his first season with Würzburger Kickers, Wagner made 27 league appearances, registering one assist, vs. Hallescher FC (April 14).
2016-17 (FC Schalke 04 II): Wagner spent one season with FC Schalke 04, playing for the club’s reserves. He notched one assist across 33 appearances.
2015-16 (SSV Ulm 1846): In his first full senior professional season, Wagner notched one goal and seven assists for Ulm across 32 appearances.
