Brown's game action for the Dynamo was limited to friendlies during his time in Houston, given that he sat behind Tyler Deric and Joe WIllis on the team's depth chart. He will battle for playing time behind Stefan Frei with the Sounders.

OUTSIDE MLS: Appeared in 14 regular-season games for the Pittsburgh Riverhounds of USL in 2015, mostly as the starter in the second half of the season, posting a 5-4-4 record with five shutouts and a 1.14 goals against average. Started Pittsburgh's lone playoff game, making four saves in a 4-2 extra-time loss to the New York Red Bulls II on Sept. 26.

COLLEGE: Attended University of Virginia from 2010-14 and led team to national championship in 2004, earning Defensive Most Outstanding Player at 2014 NCAA Men's College Cup after shutting out both UMBC and UCLA and winning the final on penalty kicks … Ranked second in the Atlantic Coast Conference in shutouts (10) and goals against average (0.68) as a redshirt senior in 2014, while tying for the conference lead in saves (72) … Remained in school but did not play soccer in 2012, returning to eventually earn starting job near end of 2013 season.
