It took some time for Tim Parker to get comfortable, but once the St. John's product found his feet, he hasn't looked back. A starter for Carl Robinson in Vancouver, Parker also forced his way into the Under-23 US national team in 2016.
The 13th pick in the 2015 MLS SuperDraft broke in to the first team during his rookie season to appear in 15 games during his rookie season, starting 14 then going 90 minutes in both of Vancouver's playoff games. This year, Parker has been even more of a mainstay, starting all of his 25 league appearances.

"I think he's one of the most underrated center backs in the league. I think for a guy who's in his second year, he wins everything in the air, good 1-v-1 on the ground. He's an underrated passer."
"Guys like that are not always the most gifted, most talented guys. But a lot of times, through effort and hard work, they've gotten to where they are. They haven't taken the most glamorous route, but they're here on the stage and performing."
"I think he's a strong, powerful player. He reads the game fairly well. He seems like a pretty intelligent defender. Even though he's a good athlete, and powerful, he can be slow on the turn. Dives in a little bit too often at times in dangerous places on the field. Takes a lot of risks – but overall, I think he's a good young center back and seems like a level-headed guy who's looking to get better day in and day out."
