Ignacio Piatti amazes again in season of stunners for Montreal Impact

In a stellar season for the man moving Montreal to the top of the (Eastern) table, you'd think Ignacio Piatti would've run out of ways to wow us. You'd be wrong:

The man they call "Nacho" opens the sequence with a no-look backheel to Didier Drogba, who takes a touch and splits two defenders with the return pass, which Piatti backheels into a Cryuff turn within the one empty space in the Crew SC defense. Literally: Three defenders surrounded him at the time of touch No. 1 (all blown by on the turn), and three close from his right, but with no chance to reach him before the finish!

And that's not to leave out the curling, no-chance-for-Clark rocket Piatti launched to seal that score.

Seriously, that thing gets better every replay. Get giddy.

As if that weren't enough, Piatti's forcing me to update this post mid-stream with a – brace for it … – double-debilitating, ankle-breaking L1 juke to clear the lane for goal No. 2:

We should note Argentine maestro has twice earned AT&T MLS Goal of the Week honors in 2016, first conducting this one-man symphony in Week 1 and bending – with no windup! – from outside the box in Week 7.

Clear space in the trophy case.
