Houston Dynamo FC have transferred midfielder Jack McGlynn to EFL Championship side Stoke City, the club announced Tuesday.
The 23-year-old US international departs for reportedly up to a $5.5 million fee.
"We are grateful for Jack's contributions to the Dynamo and proud of the strides he made during his time in Houston," said Dynamo president of soccer Pat Onstad.
"When we signed Jack to the club, we committed to work with him to fulfill his dream of continuing his career in Europe. While the timing of this move is not ideal for the club, it is important that we honor our commitments to our players. We wish Jack every success in the next step of his career."
McGlynn spent four seasons with the Philadelphia Union before being traded to Houston ahead of the 2025 campaign.
In total, the Philly homegrown contributed 17g/29a in 186 appearances across the Union and Dynamo. This season, McGlynn had 2g/6a in 18 MLS matches.
Internationally, McGlynn has scored two goals in 13 appearances for the USMNT. He competed at the 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup and featured four times at the 2024 Summer Olympics.
